Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria set by UGC NET December 2025 is as follows – check educational qualifications and age limits required for JRF, Assistant Professor, and Ph.D. admission and more:
- Educational Qualification for General or EWS candidates Must be at least 55 percent marks in Master’s Degree from recognised university for OBC – NCL or SC or ST or PwD or PwBD or Third Gender should have 50 percent marks in Master’s Degree.
- The age limit set by UGC is 30 years with 3 to 5 years relaxation in some categories.

Application process for UGC NET is in online mode candidate need to fill application form on official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in by following given steps:
- Visit the official website of NTA UGC NET at www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in
- Click on “Apply Online for UGC NET December 2025 on homepage
- Register with your valid email ID and mobile number carefully
- Fill out the online application form with accurate details of personal education and contact details
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the required format given on official notification
- Pay an application fee of rs 1150 for general category 600 for ews and rs 325 for other categories
- Review carefully and submit the application form
- Download and print the confirmation page for future reference and use
