J&K Revenue Department Recruitment Rules 2026: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir Revenue Department has released an official notice about J&K Revenue (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Rules.

The notification revised Schedule-I and Schedule-II which includes posts such as Naib Tehsildar, Patwari, Junior Assistant, GIS Assistant, Driver (Various Grades), Orderly / Helper etc.

How Recruitment is Conducted

The J&K Revenue Department Recruitment Rules 2026 define both direct recruitment and promotion-based selection. The method depends on the post category:

  • Naib Tehsildar is recruited 40 percent through direct recruitment and 60 percent through promotion
  • Patwari posts are filled 100 percent through direct recruitment
  • Senior roles like Section Officer are filled through promotion
  • Junior Assistant has a mix of direct recruitment and promotion quota
  • Driver posts have 90 percent direct recruitment and 10 percent promotion.

Salary Structure and Pay Levels

The updated rules also define pay levels for different posts based on government standards:

  • Level 7 includes high-ranking posts like Section Officer and Stenographer

  • Level 2 and Level 1 include drivers and support staff
